"That's it; you're done."

That's what the girl in the Graduate Studies office said to me as I stood there for a second, looking blankly at her, waiting to be told what the next step was. I had just handed her my 8b form, validated by the library administrative office, certifying that I've turned in my thesis for binding (a day BEFORE the deadline) and will hence graduate.

She said those words so lightly.

You need to help train her.

1) She must keep a collection of those confetti poppers in her desk.
2) She's must accept the piece of paper with the awe as if your final piece of paperwork were the Holy Grail itself.
3) Then she must break out into a grin that would put the Publisher's Clearing House to shame, pull out a confetti popper, launch it into the air, and shout "Mozteltof!"
4) All other office workers must then respond, in their own enthusiastic echos, "Hurrah! Halleljuah! The da has come at last!"
5) Finally, they must graciously show you to the exit with a large pat on the back and a complimentary certificate to buy yourself a very large, celebratory ice-cream cone.

Congrats =)

It seems weird to think that I have so many friends graduating right now, and here I just reapplied for school. It's been almost three years since I was in school. And now, I'm going to be a student again (well, not exactly the traditional full-time student, because I'm still working at Prosper full-time, and I'll just take classes at nights, on Saturdays, and/or online).

At any rate, the point is while this all seems so weird and scary, but you helped inspire me; you helped encourage me that "if Margaret can do it, so can I".

Again, I'm sooooo PROUD of you! Congrats on the Masters! :)
