A little something about me

- Sometimes late at night I break into song. And in recognition of that whole it's - really - too - late - for - anyone - to - expect - me - to - be - rational thing, I typically preface my musical rendition with, "That reminds me of a song...and it goes a little something like this." And so, when the mood strikes me, or the hour is late enough ;) , here is where I'll break into the silly songs of my childhood, the pseudo-intellectual ramblings of my grad student-hood, the haphazard mutterings of my single-hood, the philosophical musings of my female-hood, the inspirational babblings of my human-hood, the frazzled sputterings of my junior high French teacher-hood. So world, this is me. These are my thoughts, this is my life. And it goes a little something like this...

Sleek, red, and impractical? Sure signs of a mid-life crisis.
Though I don't know what color it is, so maybe the theory's disproved.
Um, I think you should really mention that it's a jag KIT-CAR and the engine is a 35-year-old pickup truck. This is probably going to cost less than the used Toyota Corolla they bought us five years ago.
But yeah, this is about as midlife crisis as I think Dad would let himself go... :) I'm excited!
Margaret, Jaguars are totally NOT irrational, they are (as the old add says) "Proof that there is life in engineering" - complete with English accent. :) It would only be irrational if it was a Mercedes...
Now I really wish we were going to the family reunion this summer!
Should I be concerned that I didn't hear about this till now? What?! How many cars does one man get to blame on midlife crisises?! I guess this is a sign that he still intends to live a good long while...he was "midlife" at 35 and still holding at "midlife" at 67. Wahoo!
Ha ha... Laura, I was thinking about the definition of "midlife" too, as a not-over-35-year-old woman in my ward just left her husband and the church for her crisis... "Mid" gets broader and broader, eh?
I love that Dad's been so frugal BETWEEN the two kit cars (can we say TWO 1985 station wagons?), and the fact that the kit cars themselves themselves are not expensive (especially as sports cars go) ... this is more of a midlife blip than a crisis, eh?
I'm "not over 35"...should I be planning MY crisis?!
If I get to buy a Jaguar, I would like to pre-schedule my crisis for when I turn 35... Or, can I just go ahead and have it now?
Jaguars are entirely rational. In every circumstance. Let's not forget that.
