Word of the day: acquiesce

I'm using it in a paper, but do I need cite that the only reason I know this word is from the first "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie? You know, in which Keira Knightley and Geoffrey Rush both say,
"I'm disinclined to acquiesce to your request."
That would look awesome on my references list.

Barbossa, C. (2003) as cited in Swann, E. (2003).

Seriously...

For the theatrical release:

Bruckheimer, J. (Producer), & Verbinski, G. (Director). (2003) Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl [Motion Picture]. Burbank, CA: Buena Vista Pictures Distribution.

Or, if you're like me and *never* go to the movies:

Bruckheimer, J. (Producer), & Verbinski, G. (Director). (2003) Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl [Motion Picture]. Burbank, CA: Walt Disney Home Video.

I saw that word and INSTANTLY thought of PIRATES! Then, I had to literally laugh out loud when I read the post underneath it. Yes, yes, yes! LOVE IT! If you cited PIRATES, I would just die. Thanks, Jeremy, for the fantastic comment on how to properly cite PIRATES. Gotta make sure Captain Jack is given his proper - properly. Seriously! This is the coolest thing I've read all day! :)

It's sad...I actually remember this word from the PreSATs in high school. I remember being really excited during "Pirates" because I knew what it meant. LOL. That never happens.

Ok - it happens sometimes when I'm watching Jeopardy. And sometimes when I especially want to annoy my husband.:)
